I started pinning herringbone wood floor images for inspiration and realized that I was also pinning a similar pattern that wasn’t exactly herringbone. After a bit of research I realized it was actually Chevron. The two look very similar at first but once you look closely you can see that the chevron is a zigzag pattern and the herringbone is more staggered. I would still prefer the herringbone over the chevron because of its more complex texture. Even though herringbone was first designed centuries ago I still think it’s the most beautifully designed floors to this day.
